Covid 19 Update - Dunoon Jazz Festival Postponed

Dunoon Jazz Festival will not take place in 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Trustees stressed that, under the present restrictions it was the right thing to do. Indications are that the government will have various restrictions in place for many months to come including long term social distancing, and the future is full of uncertainties that the committee had no alternative but to, reluctantly, postpone this year’s festival. The trustees have been working hard since the 2019 Festival last September to bring an exciting weekend of some of Scotland’s finest jazz musicians to Cowal for 2020 but all is not lost as this year’s programme, hopefully, is now in place for 2021 when restrictions are lifted and life gets back to some kind of normality.

They appreciate the disappointment that will be felt after the Cowal population experienced two highly successful festivals over the last two years but they have to follow the instructions laid down by both the government and the Scottish parliament to contain this pandemic.
